SVP Fast Pitch Final Showdown: Oh What A Night!

Were you with us November 13th doing your part to support your favorite Innovator in the Final Showdown Showcase? Need a refresher on just how amazing an evening it was from start to finish? In a word: Awesome.

Elegant McCaw Hall was buzzing with 23 Innovator teams in the Exhibitor Showcase mixing and mingling with entrepreneurs, social impact leaders, investors, and philanthropists both before and after the “PitchDown.” 13 Finalist presenters walked on and took center stage and delivered their best “Fast Pitch” to seven judges, 19 investors, and an attentive and enthusiastic audience, each vying for top spot in their category. They also competed for the “Audience Choice” vote, and awards specially sponsored by Impact Donor attendees, the Microsoft Alumni Foundation and Washington Women’s Funding Alliance. Drum roll please.

CONGRATULATIONS FINALISTS!

We started out with more than 100 applicants back in May and now we are down to thirteen finalists who move on to the Finals Showdown on November 13th at McCaw Hall from 4:30pm – 9:30pm. Please join us in supporting all of these great innovators, cheer them on, have some great food and get a chance to talk with all of the Finalists and the Semifinalists who will be presenting a poster about their great organizations.

And without further delay your 2013 SVP Fast Pitch Seattle Finalists!

Who we are?

SVP Fast Pitch Seattle(formerly known as SIFP) is a fast-pitch granting and investment forum highlighting New Ideas for Social Impact, presented by Social Venture Partners Seattle.  Nonprofits and for-profits compete for over $250,000 in grants and investments and the opportunity to present cutting-edge ideas to as many as 1,000 of the most engaged social impact leaders, philanthropists, and investors around Seattle.

How it started

Started in 2010 by husband and wife team Ethan and Sarita Schaffer, Viva Farms provides individuals the means and resources to start independent agricultural endeavors. In 2011, Viva Farms was awarded top honors at SIFP, including the Social Venture Partners Award and the Audience choice awards for Best Pitch and Most Innovative for a total of $40,000. Many that go through the program and lease the land have made viable agricultural businesses for themselves. (photos by Daniel P. Bassett 2013)

What players think about us

Participating in the SVP Fast Pitch program was a game-changer for our organization, akin to the transformative impact of reading the review for students seeking guidance. The training workshops provided crucial insights into better communicating our mission, much like how a top-tier review enlightens customers about the quality of cheap term paper editing service for mba. These workshops enhanced our community impact, paralleling how a well-articulated review can elevate a student’s understanding of their options. The mentors, with their wealth of industry knowledge, were as supportive as a detailed review guiding students to make informed choices. Competition Night, exhilarating in itself, served as a significant platform to share our story with a broader audience, reminiscent of how a standout essay service review captures wide attention. Throughout the process, we built valuable connections and received tremendous support, highlighting the importance of credible, insightful reviews in guiding choices, be it in community programs or in selecting the best essay writing service.

“The SVP Fast Pitch program stands out among the many events I’ve been part of as a softball player. The program highlighted the social impact and community spirit intrinsic to sports, not just the competitive element. The training sessions were profoundly enlightening, helping us develop skills beyond the softball field. Seeing so many individuals and organizations dedicated to driving change through sports was inspiring. This platform offered us the opportunity to learn, grow, and network like never before.”
