One of the key opportunities at Monday night's event is to grow your network. And with 600+ participants who are all interested in seeing more social innovation in the Puget Sound area, you've got an amazing, high-quality group of people to network with!
One way we are attempting to help in the "matchmaking" is with name tags.
All participants will have a name tag. You will select from one of three designations that best describes you:
- Social Innovator. For those who are trying to be social innovators.
- Social Investor. For those of you who would like to provide resources to great social innovators.
- Social Connector. For anyone who is interested in helping social innovators to succeed.
Here's the challenge for each participant ... reach out and introduce yourself to at least 3 people you don't know at Monday's event. Remember, just by showing up, you already have a lot in common in your interest to see more social innovation.
Here's some ideas for questions to get a conversation going at the event:
- What are some areas that you'd like to see more social innovation happening? eg. environment, jobs creation, K-12 education, other?
- What ways might you be interested in getting involved with social innovation in Seattle area? eg. mentoring, funding, promotion, fundraising, etc.
- Have you heard about a social innovation tonight/recently that you think is interesting?
- Which of the social innovation finalists/semi-finalists here tonight are interesting to you?
